A: CNC Services

Q: How can I report a computer problem to CNC?
A: CNC Help Desk

Q: What are the lab hours?
A: CNC Labs

Q: Does CNC have lab consultants?
A: Yes. The lab consultant is in room ET109 on the first floor.

Q: What is my email address?
A: Your email address is a combination of your user name and the domain address, iupui.edu. We do not provide students with email account. All students should request an email account from UITS (University Integrated Technology Services).

Q: Are there other training opportunities on the IUPUI campus?
A: UITS provides a free STEPS program. This is open for students on the IUPUI campus:   http://ittraining.iu.edu

Q: How do I access H: drive from outside the CNC?
A: You will need to set up a VPN before you try to map your H: drive from home. We recommend setting up a VPN link. You will probably find that this is the only way you can mount your drives via a Cable Modem connection.
Please contact UITS at 274-HELP for information regarding VPNs.

When you are connected to the Internet and your VPN is running, use the following procedure to map your drive.

Right click on My Computer

Select Map Network Drive

Select a letter that is not being used (**attention** It does not have to be H:)

Use the Fully Qualified Domain Name when entering the server address in the Folder textbox:

For Students whose LOGON ID begins with A-J:
Use \\IN-ENGR-02.ADS.IU.EDU\<LOGONID$>

For Students whose LOGON ID begins with K-Z:
Use \\IN-ENGR-03.ADS.IU.EDU\<LOGONID$>

Uncheck the Reconnect at logon box

Select Connect using a different user name

When the logon prompt appears:

Type the following for your username: ads/username (your username)

Type your campus password in the password textbox

Click OK

Click Finish
