CNC Summer 2008 Operating Hours:
As the spring semester comes to a close and the new summer session begins, CNC would like thank all members of the school and all customers that it serves. We hope that we have served your requests and answered your needs throughout the semester. We will continue to do our best in our services to the community and hope you will also provide us your valuable feedback on a continuing basis.
Our new summer operating schedule is as follows:
Monday - Thursday: 8 AM - 10 PM
Friday: 8 AM - 5 PM
Saturday and Sunday: Closed except for special classes and events
This schedule will be effective from May 7 to August 6, 2008. The CNC HELP WINDOW will be available during these operating hours.

Part Time Database / Web Applications Developer
Computer Network Center, IUPUI has an immediate student staff position opening
as a part time database/web applications developer, working 20 hours a week.
The candidate must have strong working knowledge on SQL server, MicroSoft
Reporting service or other reporting tools, PL/SQL, IIS, ASP, VBScript, C# and .NET.

Computer Network Center
The Computer Network Center, CNC, in the Purdue
School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI provides the technical support
for the computing needs of the students, faculty and staff. The CNC directly
manages 10 instructional and 2 large open PC lab along with technical support
for approximately 15 UNIX and PC departmental labs. The typical PC
configuration for the CNC labs is a Windows XP platform in a client/server
environment. The CNC is commonly involved in
the support of the teaching effort and student project assistance. The CNC
currently supports UNIX, and Windows 2003 servers. The SUN UNIX servers provide
for all general purpose faculty and student UNIX accounts. Apache software
handles the school Web services. Calendar and Messaging services based on
Microsoft Exchange are provided by the University Information Technology
Services, UITS. The CNC administers a DNS server for school-associated domains.
The network infrastructure responsibilities for the CNC span 2 buildings. The
campus network provided by UITS, handles the backbone routing services. The CNC
manages the Local Area Networks with a 10/100 Mbps Switch based topology. All
local wiring now provides at least certified CAT5 to the desktop.
The CNC has adapted its network directory services to the campus based
Active Directory Service, ADS, as the organization unit IN-ENGR.
