Using UITS Printer Finder


Before beginning, you MUST be able to connect to the secure IU network. If you are unable to connect, contact the CNC help desk or the IT help desk for instructions on how to register your PC and then connect.


Once you are able to connect to the IU secure network, follow the following instructions to download, install and use the UITS printer finder.

1. Go to iuware.iu.edu and click on printing.

















2. Click on the "" link.

















3. Click on ""(or login and then download if you are not already logged into CAS).




















4. Select your preferred download location and save the file.
5. Open the folder where the exe file was saved and run the program (click on "" if a dialog box appears asking if you want to run the program). You should see this screen:



















6. If you wish to change the installation you may do it at this screen. Otherwise, click "" to use the default location.



















7. Click "" to install the program on your machine and click "" when it completes






































8. This icon should now appear on your desktop

Double click on it to open the program


Please note: the following screenshots are only an example so that you may see what each step will look like. In each drop down list there are multiple selections that you can make based on what building you are on, what level of that building and what printer you wish to print from. Make sure to note what building and level you are on before continuing this process.


  Select which campus you are currently on:


  Select which building you are currently and trying to print from:


  Select your desired printer:


  Click on add printer. You should see, at the bottom, that your selected printer was installed:




Select the printer and click on ok and your document will print at the desired printer.

Simply follow steps 8 and 9 again if you need to add another printer to your list either from the same building or from another one that you are in regularly.
